I am a fine art student, ceramic tutor and mother of three children. I have loved working with clay since I was given the opportunity to do so at a local community art centre as a teenager. I have spent time in further study in ceramics and make functional pottery.
This site is how I put my work out and inspire others to follow their talents whether it is pottery or any other craft or talent. By adding what inspires me and what I am working on I can share what I love as I develop my craft and build my career and hope others can gain something from it along the way.
I would love to collaborate with other potters in my area to create a ceramic hub, a place where a community of potters and artists can learn, share, experiment, grow, and promote their work.

Here is what people are saying about Mariana Pottery

Yes, I would recommend this business to a friend!
My daughter had a Mariana Pottery party for her last birthday. All of the kids who attended had a marvellous time and had their artwork fired so they could keep it forever. I recommend Mariana Pottery parties to any parent looking for a special way to commemorate their child's birthday
Really Enjoyable!

My LO is 4 y/o in May, 2015. We had a really lovely morning and Mariana was a very calm natured lady that was extremely helpful. I would actually like to take a class for myself! I think (obviously depends on the child) my LO may be 3-6 months a little too young? Obviously with more practice she would develop more in her skill set, but she did struggle a little bit with understanding the technique, what we were actually doing etc. Again, once she became more familiar with practice I'm sure she would be fine (and not thinking she was making pizza with play dough!!) Great experience, lovely atmosphere and something a little different for a Monday morning! Thank you!! :-)
Kids creating with clay!

My 4 year old daughter had a wonderful time creating with clay at Mariana's preschool pottery class this morning. Mariana has such a gentle nature and explained how to use the tools and textures really well. She also provided all the tools and equipment needed and was very well equipped to cater for the different levels of skills and interests the kids had. I would definitely recommend this class for kids who love to have fun, love to create and don't mind getting a little messy along the way (cleaning up the tools was part of the fun we had too!)
Pottery Fun!!

Today I took my 3.5yr old son to Mariana Pottery and we had a lovely time. It was a relaxed and welcoming environment and Mariana was great with instructing and helping all the children. My son loved getting his hands dirty while making a "pinch pot" caterpillar and we look forward to picking it up in a week or two once it has dried. We had a lot of fun there today and I would recommend the experience to others.
